Three weeks has come and gone and I haven’t had a chance to blog until now! Things have been incredibly busy IRL and in Second Life. This time of year always has us running in circles, it seems, so adding a new project to my never ending list of things I’d love to do was a daunting task, but I did it anyway. My hubs and I have been working really hard to transform my sim into a magical winter wonderland and it is finally open to the public. Come visit us at Frostmoor Rise if you can, we’d love to see you! I’ve been amazed at how many new people I’ve met and how much fun this whole thing has been. I can’t wait to see what we do next! Today I ventured out for some live music, which is one of my favorite things to do in SL. Victora Worbridge was performing at Wonderland 2.0, which was a new venue for me. Firstly, if you’ve never heard Victoria, you’re truly missing out. Her voice is as smooth as silk and I’m partial to the piano, so I couldn’t be in a happier spot. Secondly, this venue is full of sparkles, vibrant colored vegetation, and mystically magical mushrooms. Interestingly enough, I learned a new word today; Émerveillement, on Facebook of all places. It’s a French word that means wonder, enchantment. And that’s the same feeling I get in SL all the time. I know I’ve said this before, but you guys and your creativity always blow my mind. I find myself just standing in the same place and camming around, amazed. Just as I was finishing up this post, I started talking to someone at the show and of course I crashed and now I can’t find them. Purple is my favorite color. Even so, I realized I actually don’t have very many clothing items that are purple. I’m not sure if that’s because I’m picky about the shades of purple I like best or if I just hadn’t found very much that I loved yet. I spent some time at Equal10 earlier today and while I was lagging around, I saw this dress and immediately fell in love. I’ll be honest, I didn’t even demo it. This shade of purple is iconic (at least to me lol). If you’re not a huge fan of purple, but like the dress, have no fear, there are tons of other colors. Oh, and it comes with panties, so, still no coochie shots over here. Luckily for me, my next stop was ACCESS, where I found these boots, which come with or without stockings and look pretttty cute. I feel like I have substantially stepped up my purple game today. What do you think? Till next time…
I’m back again, for the second day in a row. You’re as shocked as I am aren’t you? Well, it’s been a very slow, very snowy Sunday here and I thought I’d take advantage of another lazy day before the work week starts again tomorrow. Speaking of, did weekends get shorter? It really feels that way. I spent some time stumbling around the grid today on my own. It never ceases to amaze me just how creative many of my SL neighbors are. I think that’s really what keeps me in SL, if I’m being honest. I’m amazed by you guys.
I feel like I’ve entered this new phase of SL for me. And I have no idea what’s going on here. I don’t know which direction I want to move or what I want to do next. Every few minutes I’m either ready to do all the things or log off forever. I’m trying to explore at least one next place every day and hopefully something will stick soon. I kinda just feel lost and floaty right now everywhere I go but hopefully that’s fleeting.
Today I went to Warehouse 21 for the first time in forever. I haven’t been to a club in ages, but here we are. I was never much of a clubber irl either, so, double what the hell am I doing? Anyways, I’ve included a pic of me trying and failing to fit in with normal people, once again. This outfit was a little different for me, but I love it. littlefox. has been on my radar for a couple weeks again and when I saw this outfit at FaMESHed, I had to grab it. I love when you already have something waiting in your inventory that you know will compliment that new shiny thing you bought, like this jacket from The Kiwi Co. Then I found this (Yummy) jewelry set at Collabor88 and haven’t taken it off since! The necklace is my new favorite. I think I’ve probably rambled enough for today. Also, retail therapy is real.
